Whether you’re getting your first massage ever or you’re an old pro but it’s been awhile since your last massage, there are many reasons to ditch the “one and done” massage mentality!

The first massage (or the first one after a long break between massages) almost puts the body into a “shock mode” - it releases toxins and “breaks up” the pain and inflammation that can be occur from hundreds of ailments and conditions. So, it’s important not to stop there! You’ve just begun the healing process!

The second massage actually takes this process a little farther and by the third or fourth regularly scheduled massage, your body is normally in a pretty good state and is ready to receive the benefits of maintenance massages.
